A nice surprise - concept interior just gave me an award. Thank you Henriette!

So..If I`ve got this right this is what I am supposed to do:

*Share three things I like to do:

1.: I love to buy interior magazines- so much that I have a pile of half read magazines. Its an obsession

2.: DIY projects- I get easily inspired and i like to create my projects as I go along.

3.: Recipes- I collect cook books and recipes with nicely and inspiring presented pictures. And of course I love to try out new dishes.

*Award 5 new blogs

1.: Briggs lekehus - colourful and very inspiring!

3.: fine little day - the cat, the pictures, the design

*Something new and something blue

*Gardsliv! / countryside vacation!

Noen venner har kjøpt seg et nydelig landssted 2 timer fra Oslo, og de klør i fingrene etter å gripe tak i malerkosten og hammeren for å sette sitt preg på herligheten. I helgen var jeg så heldig å få ta gården i nærmere øyesyn, og huset bugner over av fantastiske møbler, loppefunn og atmosfære. Mine venner liker farger, og her er noen herlige eksempler på hva litt maling kan gjøre med en gammel kjøkkeninnredning.

Some friends of mine just bought a beautiful house on the countryside, and my guess is that they plan to spend a lot of weekends and holidays there. The house has a lot of atmosphere and its new owners can´t wait to make it their own. Some of the rooms needs a few strokes of paint, and here is a few examples of what paint can do with an old kitchen interior.

*Arbeidsplass

Jeg har akkurat anskaffet meg arbeidsplass nr. 2 på kontoret/gjesterommet. Fra før av har jeg en fast plass til PC arbeid. Den nye plassen må være fleksibel og flyttbar siden vi ofte har overnattingsgjester. En billig og lettvint løsning satte jeg sammen ved å bruke stålrørsbukker fra Ikea til understell og en heltre furuplate fra Maxbo som ligger løs på bukkene. Det spøker for bordplaten min, det er mulig den får seg en omgang med maling, som på bildet til høyre. I antrasit, bare.

We needed a second workplace in the office/guest room. But since we have guests staying overnight quite often it had to be cheap an flexible. This is what I put together:

steel table stand from Ikea and a wood (pine) table top from Maxbo. The table top is not attached to the legs. I like the pine together with the steel structure, but I might get tempted to paint the top, like on the picture to the left.

*Mørketid

Mørketiden er over oss og belysning kommer automatisk i fokus.

Her er et lite utvalg av dekorbelyning jeg fant her og der på en mer eller mindre tilfeldig byvandring i løpet av formiddagen. Alle ganske forskjellige.

This time of year we get long dark nights, and the long dark nights automatically makes us focus on our domestic lighting. I have found a few different options I wouldn´t mind lighting up my apartment this winter.

*DIY av loppekasser

Hylleprosjektet fikk et annet utfall en planlagt. Jeg hadde egentlig tenkt å stable kassene på hverandre, men de var helt utrolig skjeve så istedenfor bygde jeg meg en lav reol på hjul. Sjarmerende prosjekt, men jeg er usikker på hvor lenge reolen har livets rett. Jeg trenger et større hus!

My DIY project turned out differently than planned. I got myself a low shelf system on wheels instead of a high one (boxes placed on top of each other)

*DIY av lopper

Jeg har lenge vært på jakt etter 3 like trekasser til et av mine DIY prosjekter, og i helgen kom jeg over noen flotte eksemplarer av gamle frydenlund ølkasser på sinsen brukthandel. Også 3 like da! I løpet av noen dager nå håper jeg å få satt sammen mitt nye oppbevaringsmøbel, må bare handle litt utstyr først!

*DIY

I´m planning a DIY project and I have been looking for three similar wooden boxes for a while now. Don´t need to be looking no more, this weekend I found the perfect ones for my project (which I am planning to finish this week.)
